Din Tai Fung originates from Taiwan. When in Taiwan, of course must eat xiaolongbaos!

Go to the right counter and take a queue number. The staff will issue you a menu list to commence ordering. Queues are normally long during meal times so try to go earlier to beat the crowd!

1. Crab meat xiaolongbao

A must-try. Crab meat was succulent and tender, and Singapore does not offer this version of xiaolongbao!

2. Truffle xiaolongbao

Ditto for this. It is simply your usual xiaolongbao drizzled with truffle oil. The truffle smell and taste were very strong, and it was completely addictive. Thumbs up!

3. Fried long beans with minced meat, Fried rice with pork chop, Dan-dan noodles with peanut sauce

You can get all these dishes in Singapore. Not much difference in taste from this Taipei branch and any of Singapore’s DTF branches.

G: My favourite dish that was missing from the menu: prawn pancake. That is a personal favourite of mine but they do not serve it in Taipei. What a pity!
