Morganfield’s @ Star Vista

Otherwise known as the “Home of Sticky Bones”, Morganfield’s prides themselves as the one who concocts the best rib sauce in Singapore. Having been in Singapore for nearly 5 years, they are now serving more than 150,000 pounds of juicy tender ribs yearly. Pretty sure they’ve got what we like pat down: exotic sweet and sticky layered Kansas-style BBQ sauce slathered on dry-rubbed and slow-cooked spare ribs.

Apple & Chicken Salad morgan fields one north star vista reviewed by projectweekends singaporeG & J: If you prefer a lighter appetizer option, this “eat clean” option of red & green apple slices with grilled chicken breast atop a bed of fresh mesclun greens might do the trick. The slices of fruit help to combat the slight dryness of the chicken breast.

Loaded Chilli Nachosmorgan fields one north star vista reviewed by projectweekends singaporeG & J: Cheese-baked corn tortilla chips with a smattering of tender pulled ribs, housemade chilli concarne, corn salsa, jalapeños and a dollop of sour cream. Have it while it’s served hot!

Mains

G & J: The highlight of the luncheon! Rich, dark and brooding layers of BBQ sauce bursting with a sweet flavour. Thumbs up! Served with a side of fries and coleslaw.

Hickory BBQ Sticky Bones

G & J: If you prefer a more savoury sauce, this classic ribs sauce is an option. Slow-cooked grilled pork ribs with hickory smoke, it’s hard to resist.

Other options besides ribs:

Beer-Battered Fish Filletsmorgan fields one north star vista reviewed by projectweekends singaporeG & J: Hoki fish fillets coated in Morganfield’s housemade beer batter fried to a golden-brown crisp.

Blackened Salmonmorgan fields one north star vista reviewed by projectweekends singaporeG & J: Seasoned and grilled Norwegian salmon with cajun spice. Comes with roast potatoes and topped with tangy corn salsa.

Tequila Spiked Chickenmorgan fields one north star vista reviewed by projectweekends singaporeG & J: Think juicy plump half chicken marinated in spicy tequila, lime, paprika and char-gilled to perfection.

Desserts

PB&J Mudslidemorgan fields one north star vista reviewed by projectweekends singaporeG & J: Frozen peanut butter cream & jelly with layered chocolate ganache and brownies, complete with a scoop of vanulla ice cream. That is quite a mouthful, literally!

Chocolate Lava Cakemorgan fields one north star vista reviewed by projectweekends singaporeG & J: Decadence at its finest, this one. Homemade moist chocolate cake with a warm molten inside. A scoop of vanilla ice cream and a drizzle of caramel sauce and you’re good to go!

Morgan’s Bread Puddingmorgan fields one north star vista reviewed by projectweekends singaporeG & J: Served with Jack Daniel’s whiskey sauce.
