Suki-ya restaurant has been a staple in some of our malls for some time now, and with the recent bout of rain in Singapore, hotpot and shabu shabu is becoming our first choice when we are looking for a good meal. At the Suki-ya outlet we went in Bugis+, we tried the new Black Garlic soup base. As it is seasonal, we can’t help but urge you guys to try it before it’s gone!

This new concoction is a perfect combination of sweet and rich pork soup base and black garlic.
As usual, you can choose 2 soup base for your shabu shabu. We went with the original sukiyaki soup base!
You can help yourself to the wide selection of vegetables and sauces, but the meat has to be ordered through the staff.
Crispy noodles: Our tip to fully enjoy the garlic broth. Soak each cube into the broth and enjoy!
We recommend: Top up $10.90++ for slices of premium wagyu and iberico pork. Otherwise, the buffet includes unlimited servings of chicken, beef and pork.
G & J: The Black Garlic soup base is quite peppery, but also addictive. If you’re garlic lovers like us, then you’ll wish it’s more garlicky! 😅
